Hello, hello!!! My name is Thao Pham. I am a second year pharmsci major. I will be your Co-Fundraising Chair along with Alex and Arline. I have joined Flying Sam since last time, my first year at UCI. I initially joined this club simply because I wanted to be involved in something. However, as I became more involved in this club, I felt so attached to it. I appreciate how Flying Sam brings me to other people who are so great to meet, work, and have fun with. As a commuted and first year student, finding friends was not an easy “task” for me, and I found Flying Sam provided me a wonderful opportunity to make connections. Looking forward to this year, I hope to meet more lovely members like you!!! Don’t get stuck with books, yalls! Be active and reach out to unfortunate people and you will see there are many of them whom you can help with…Lastly, feel free to contact me at or

Nathalie Iribe

Hi!!! My name is Nathalie and I’m a 4th year Pharmaceutical Sciences major from Fontana, CA. Coming from a lower-income community as a minority myself, I have both seen and experienced the health disparities in our country and in Mexico as well, which is why Flying Samaritans stood out to me the most compared to all other pre-health organizations at UCI. Aside from that, everyone is very welcoming and we are all working together to serve a great cause. On my free time, I love to go on hikes, trying new food, and just spending time with friends and family. I’m excited to see all new and returning members this year! If you have any questions or just want to say hi feel free to contact me at

Alex Valerio

Whaddup everyone! My name is Alex Valerio and I am a third year Pharmaceutical Sciences major. I am excited to be serving as one of the Pharmacy co-chairs this year! I joined Flying Sams because I was looking for a pre-health organization where I can gain clinical experience as well as explore different career options. Outside of FS, I enjoy playing basketball, listening to music, and trying new food!. If you have any questions or just want to say hello, contact me at!

Public Health

Kimberly Arreguin

Hello, my name is Kimberly, but you can also call me Kim! I’m a third year Public Health Science major, and I am a Public Health Co-Chair. What I love about Flying Samaritans is having the opportunity to not only help our community through local service events like preparing food boxes for homeless people, but also providing medical care to underprivileged communities in Mexico. In addition to the various community service activities, Flying Sams is a great club for the healthcare field since it includes diverse committees like Dental, Spanish, Public Health, and Pharmacy. When I am not doing school work or attending extracurricular activities, I like to go hiking on trails away from the city or go for runs. I also enjoy looking at DIY projects that I find on Pinterest and imitating it! (even though it never comes out as good as shown in the pictures lol) I also watch Netflix shows like Greys Anatomy, Atypical, and The Crown. Feel free to contact me at!

Jacklyn Doan

Heyo! My name is Jacklyn. But you can call me jackie!! Im a third year Public Health Policy major from Sacramento, CA! This year I am one of your Public Health Co-Chairs. Flying Sams has been a huge opportunity for me to meet new friends with similar interests and get a glipse of my future in the medical field. I fell in love with the club and the community we work with in Mexico. Outside of flying sams, I love staying fit and healthy, spending time with my friends and family, and taking on new adventures. If you have any questions about flying sams, public health, college, or anything in general, reach out to me at or ucifspublichealth@gmail!!!!

What’s goodie y’all! It’s your boy David and I am one of your Public Health Co-Chairs. I am a fourth year Public Health Sciences major and I am excited to meet you all and make the best of this amazing club. You will find that Flying Samaritans has a lot to offer even if you are not pre-health. You will have the opportunity to provide various basic medical care services to our patients in Mexico which is a humbling and hands on experience. Besides our monthly trips to Mexico, you will also have the opportunity to help local underserved communities in Orange County through our various volunteer projects. These and the amazing members are the reason why I have been in this club for three years now. Outside of Flying Samaritans, I enjoy cycling, playing soccer and spending time with my girlfriend. Hi everyone! My name is Soomin Park, and I’m a third year Microbiology and Immunology major! I am super excited to be serving as one of your community service co-chairs for this year. I joined Flying Sams last year because I heard about the amazing opportunity to provide dental and health care at zero cost to those in El Testerazo, Mexico. I greatly admired the work of the student volunteers as well as the providers who offered their time and expertise in helping those lacking proper medical care. I was compelled to join and be a part of something I knew would be immensely gratifying and beneficial to many. Community service is a huge passion of mine, and I am thrilled to be hosting many events to give back to our community and to be getting to know everyone! I will probably ask you when your birthday is. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at!
